Our tour begins with a complimentary pick-up from your hotel in Niagara Falls. We travel along the winding Niagara Parkway learning about the War of 1812 and the importance to the development of the region. We will stop frequently for pictures of the Niagara gorge and river and visit key sites like the Whirlpool Rapids, Laura Secord’s homestead, Sir Adam Beck power station, the Floral Clock, Queenston Heights, Mackenzie House and the historic Fort George.
At the end of the Parkway is Niagara-on-the-Lake – a quaint, picturesque and historic town. Stroll through the streets and visit the many unique culinary and fashion boutiques or take a horse drawn carriage through the town visiting key sites. It’s up to you. Our time in Niagara-on-the-Lake concludes with an exclusive presentation and sampling of some of Ontario’s most prestigious wines.
After our visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake we return to the Falls where you will begin your optional boat, helicopter or other tour (available as an add-on at time of booking), followed by lunch – a gorgeous panoramic view of the Falls from above (add-on), or spend some time exploring the Falls.
We conclude with a return trip to your hotel.
Departing From Niagara Falls
Depart Niagara Falls at 10:30am with hotel pick ups prior and head on the 5 hour tour of Niagara Falls
Be amazed at the power of Niagara falls. Your tour guide will escort you to a scenic vantage where you can get an unparalleled look at the 3 thundering shoots. Enjoy time for self exploration to get up close and experience the magnificence of the thunder of the waters. *The most popular attraction is the Hornblower Niagara Cruise. *Add on*. After cruise free time will be given for self-exploration.
Head along the Niagara Parkway
The Niagara Parkway is one of the most spectacular drives leading from Niagara Falls to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Just ask Sir Winston Churchill, he names the Niagara Parkway one of the prettiest Sunday Drives. Stop at the Whirlpool Rapids, See landmark sites like the Floral Clock, Sir Adam Beck Power Generating Stations, Queenston Heights the Mackenzie Printery and Newspaper Museum, Fort George National Historic Site.
Niagara-On-The-Lake
Arrive in once one was the first capital of upper Canada. Explore the rich heritage, browse the quaint shops, or walk along to the waters edge to see the Niagara river, which acts as a boarder between Canada and the USA leading out into Lake Ontario.
Winery Visit
No Tour to the Niagara Region would be complete without a wine sampling. Finish the day off with a presentation and sampling of some of Ontario’s award winning wines. This includes a Red, White and Ice Wine Tasting.
From here you will be returned back to your hotel.
